  The Society also operates an electronic "virtual" branch called eGSSA which is likely to be of value to, amongst others, family historians living outside South Africa - membership of this virtual branch includes the following benefits:
 
  • keeping up to date with genealogical developments in South Africa with four issues per year of eFamilia, the Society's official journal and four issues of genesis, the eGSSA newsletter
  • use of online shop to order photographs of documents in all four repositories of the South African Archives
