FAMILY HISTORY CENTRES |
||||
| Introduction | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (more commonly known as the Mormons) operate over 4,000 Family History Centres worldwide including over 75 centres spread across England and Wales. All family historians of whatever belief are welcome to use these centres. These local centres are effectively branches of the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. As such they provide access to most of the microfilms and microfiche held at this extensive genealogical library, with copies being loaned out on request to your local centre. Although the volunteer staff at these centres cannot do any research for you, you will find them very helpful in answering any general queries you might have and in ordering microfilm/fiche copies from the central Family History Library in Utah. | |||
