  Introduction

This section provides links to institutions and societies running genealogy courses aimed at experienced family historians. Although its individual courses are not listed here, it is also worth going onto the Workers' Educational Association (WEA) website to check through their search facility whether there are any intermediate courses being run by them in your locality. In addition to courses, most family history societies run extensive programmes of talks and seminars on genealogical topics (see this site's section on genealogy talks) . Family history fairs also typically provide a series of lectures on a wide range of family history subjects - for a list of family history fairs with links to sites giving details see this site's calendar of fairs.
